Spring 2018. My foray into glassblowing.

First creation. They’re supposed to be “flowers.”
Using small chunks of glass we had to make an animal. Of course, I made a turtle.

Later in the cold shop, I used tape and a sandblaster to give my turtle a design.
My very uneven cups.
Without a doubt, my favorite piece. I was making a colored cup but accidentally hit the wall while it was still hot. It stuck to itself. The teacher suggested I suck the air out of it for fun, and it started to look like something cool. I asked if I could stick it on a base to make it a sculpture, and so we did!
The cold shop had a cool aesthetic.
